The new NBL season is already up and running in late 2024 as Australia's best basketball players take on another action-packed few months of action in one of the nation's most wide-reaching professional leagues.
Tasmania Jackjumpers, entering just their fourth season as an NBL franchise, are the surprise defending title holders from 2023-24, having defeated regular-season champions Melbourne United 3-2 in the end-of-year Grand Final Series.
Season 2024 saw the Brisbane Bullets victorious in the Blitz competition, while the New Zealand Breakers and Illawarra Hawks have started the campaign at a strong pace. Both the Jackjumpers and Melbourne United will be keen to close those gaps as soon as possible, with matches almost every day before the Finals roll around in February.

2024–25 NBL: key fixtures this season
Each of the 10 teams in this year's NBL competition will play a total of 28 matches, with the Blitz leading into 20 rounds before the Finals series begins in the new year. The Blitz and rounds 1 through 3 have already been played in the 2024 season.
