Port Adelaide Power and Geelong Cats will contest the qualifying final 2 match of the 2024 AFL Finals in what is expected to be an intense clash between the two giants.

Ken Hinkley's side will look to make the most of their home advantage, hoping that it gives them the push needed to make it on to the next round.

Geelong however are not to be underestimated considering the success they have had in recent weeks heading into this game. They will look to silence the home crowd with a strong start.

Port Adelaide vs. Geelong match preview

These two sides have already played once before in 2024 AFL season, when they met in round 9. The Power, who had opened up a 49-point lead in the second quarter, held on to win 95-101 at GHMBA Stadium then.

The two sides have also previously clashed twice on such a stage, with the Power claiming narrow victory both times at the Adelaide Oval.

Geelong will be looking to improve their track record in week one finals, having lost 5 of their last 6 elimination or qualifying finals. Despite a wobble mid-season, the Cats won seven of their last nine matches to reach the Finals.
